Glendale Senior Dining, Inc. has come of age since it started serving New England senior resident communities a year ago this month. It marks its first anniversary with a strong customer base of ten senior residences. That’s more than double the company’s initial projections and a remarkable track record, considering that the typical industry growth rate is five to six new customers a year.
James Hecker, Glendale Senior Dining President, says the company’s fast, first year of growth validates a need in New England senior resident communities for a fresh, more hospitable approach to dining that emphasizes service and quality. “As a regional provider, we’re local, innovative and very flexible,” says Hecker. “Customers like doing business with real people they can sit down and talk with.”
“I like the uniquely personal approach of the Glendale Senior Dining management team,” says Arthur Signorelli, President of the Assisted Living Center—Salisbury. A customer since August 2014, Signorelli values the regular visits from senior management. He also benefits from the flexibility of working with a regional provider that’s just a phone call away.
By signing on with Glendale Senior Dining, Signorelli aligned his residence with a customer community that encompasses several of New England’s most high profile names in senior living. These include the Scandinavian Living Center and Zelma Lacey House in West Newton and Charlestown, Massachusetts respectively, as well as the Mark Wentworth Home in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
As for the year ahead, the Glendale Senior Dining management team is setting its sights on continued growth. Says Hecker, “We’re looking forward to pursing new, mutually-rewarding relationships with senior communities that share our culture of hospitality and service excellence.”
